PRP Pre & Post Care
PRP FACIAL:
PRE-TREATMENT:
Avoid active ingredients such as acids, astringents, retinoids or topical prescriptions 2 days prior to treatment
Increase hydration levels prior to appointment.
POST-TREATMENT:
Moderate redness can be expected. This will resolve in 2-3 days.
Increased sensitivity and tightness will subside in 2-24 hours.
Keep the skin well hydrated for 2 days with the product your practitioner recommends.

Avoid direct sun exposure for 5-7 days.
Avoid sunless tans for 7-14 days.

Avoid hair dye for 7 days before and 7 days after treatment.
POST-TREATMENT:
Scalp may remain red for 12-36 hours.
Scalp may feel warm and tight for several hours after the procedure.
Do not subject your hair to dye, salon Keratin treatments or perms for 2 weeks after PRP injections.
Avoid working out, sauna, steam room, very hot showers and direct heat for 24 hours.
You may rinse with plain water tonight if desired.
Hats may be worn.
Patients may continue with topical such as Rogaine or Minoxidil.
You may resume your normal shampooing routine tomorrow.
Protect your treated area from the sun after treatments (and always).
Potential Complications:
Infection, swelling, bleeding, bruising, hematoma, nerve trauma.
PRP is neutral and poses no danger of allergy or hypersensitivity.
